Full Essay Assignments

Student Prompt: Write a structured and well-developed essay. Include a thesis statement, at least three main points supported by text details, and a conclusion.

1. Claudia describes different people according to the signature colors she connects with them. Choose one of these descriptions to closely analyze. What does the color Claudia assigns to a person reveal about them? Which shades of the color does Claudia incorporate in her explanation? What reasons does she give for choosing this color? How do other scenes from the novel support Claudia’s analysis of the character? As you build your essay, include at least 3 quotations from the novel to strengthen your arguments. 2. Consider the format of the novel. What role does the structure have in the development of the theme Perception Versus Reality? What do the chapter titles reveal?
